‎OGUN @ 50: COUNCILLOR EMPOWERS 50 OWODE EGBA RESIDENTS, DISTRIBUTES CASH  WORTH N2.5M

‎‎In a demonstration of utmost compassion to celebrate Ogun at 50 with the people at Ward 3 Owode Egba in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Ogun State, the Councilor, Hon. Adekunle Ajayi Abdul-Lateef, popularly called “LATI Iyana” Chief Whip of the Legislative Council has given out Fifty Thousand Naira each (N50,000) to Fifty people (50 people) in the area to celebrate 50th anniversary of Ogun State.

He said the gesture to his people was done to ensure purposeful leadership he promised them while campaigning and the need to ensure Owode Egba residents are financially and economically independent and active people to the economy and to be in a position to sustain themselves.

The economic power programme brought together residents of the Ward 3 who were selected for financial empowerment.

‎Adekunle, representing Ward 3 , said that  he organised the programme to complement government’s efforts  at mitigating the effects of economic hardship at the grassroots.

Speaking at the empowerment programme, the Leader of the Legislative Council of the Local Government, Honourable Saheed ….. welcomed the beneficiaries to the programme adding that the programme was meant to support  their various endeavor of live attempt urged them to use the money wisely that more are still coming.

The All Progressives Congress Party Chairman in the Local Government, Hon. Idowu Olude noted that after the empowerment of the 50 residents which formed  the first batch of the program, he assured those that are not been enrolled in the programme to exercise patience for another compilation of another names would be rolled out soonest. He thanked the Councillor Ward 3 for the largesse extended to the people even beyond the Ward that the Almighty God we continue to provide for his needs.

‎Olude, however, used the occasion to charge residents to go all out to register for their ongoing Voter’s Card.
