Oladunjoye: Ijebu East APC Ward Affirms Indefinite Suspension

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Ijebu East local government, Itele ward has reaffirmed its indefinite suspension of Tunde Oladunjoye, exposing his attempts to manipulate and deceive the public with fabricated screenshots and false claims.

In a statement and copy of document gathered, the ward leadership hinted that the ward remains resolute in its decision, citing Oladunjoye’s unconstitutional actions and violations of party rules.

It was noticed that since the courageous action of APC ITELE WARD at its meeting that led to the indefinite suspension of TUNDE OLADUNJOYE and Mr Sharafa Oduntokun, he has been seen to be running from pillar to post.

One will be shocked about the way he has been trailing, blackmailing, and also threatening party stalwart, which was seen in the evident recorded video of his suspension.

Hence, Tunde OLADUNJOYE has been in everyone’s neck due to the fact that, he has nothing else doing than politics. You can never see any investment, nor tangible source of income than his coverup journalism that can only thrive through influenced by political influence and affiliations.

    IMG_ORG_1713944034269

Tunde OLADUNJOYE was noticed to have been pressurizing everyone, including the local government party chairman from backend, not knowing that an ordinary conversation can not be termed as official act. As a matter of fact, his shivery unconstitutional moves has no democratic mandate nor meaning to APC Itele ward.

At first, Tunde OLADUNJOYE thought his deceitful and wrong quote of APC party constitution will be enough to deceive and deter the ward from standing firm on his indefinite suspension, but when he realized that the ward came prepared with the right steps of the party constitution, his mind shook, and he resulted into another tactics.

Secondly, when he realized that his initial abracadabra was revealed and blown open, he resulted to pressurizing different quarters and authorities including the local government party chairman, and screen shot a conversation as an official statement.

We laugh to his comedic moves! It shows his level of unlearned tactics and attitude.

Let it be known to the suspended Tunde OLADUNJOYE, Mr Sharafa Oduntokun, their cohorts, keypad warriors, and couple with their political abracadabra and tactics that APC ITELE WARD 7 took due diligence in taking necessary steps to suspend them officially and an official statement and notification has been passed to necessary authorities and quarters.

Any unofficial, and concocted screenshots from any group conversation what so ever, claiming a dismissal to the ward decision is null and void!

Our massive support turns out to ethnic profiling- 33,360 Ardos say Tinubu’s regime is not favoring them

During their zonal and national consultative meeting held today at the NICON Luxury Hotel Abuja, over 33,360 Ardos who are the traditional and spiritual leaders of the specific Fulbe Communities in Nigeria lamented how the current government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is on a wide rampage of ethnic profiling of many Nigerian tribes, groups, and individuals.

The Ardos said the Fulbe are the worst receiving the brunts of ethnic profiling in the current regime through the draconian policies and anti-people decisions the current Minister of FCT, Barr Nyesome Wike is unleashing.

Addressing Press men after their exhaustive meeting, the national president, Ardo Aliyu Yola said they had mobilized Fulbe in millions and cast their votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu after they had a meeting with him before the presidential election when he was the sole candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He boasted that their help to mount vigorous campaigns for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed in the presidential elections in 2023 was the fulfillment of the traditional oath they took in February and wholeheartedly delivered on election day.

Ardo Aliyu recalled how the Fulbes had a meeting with Tinubu on a cold February evening on the campaign trail where he spent quality time interacting with Ardos across the country towards a national movement that ensured massive votes for his candidacy within the Fulani community in Nigeria.

“It is with utmost pride that we recount the huge success recorded at the polls in 2023.” Ardo Aliyu said

He worried that the appearance of Wike from the Blues to champion the course of the FCT has made the ethnic profiling of the Fulbe a pastime keep.

He stated that in recent times Minister Nyesome Wike came out with a draconian policy against herdsmen and grazing without providing any alternative as is done in civilized clime.

Ardo Aliyu further recalled the unconstitutional revocation of the contract agreement being handled by their Patron, Senator Ahmad Abubakar Moallayidi, Managing Director of Integrated Facility Management Services Ltd (IFMSL), managers of the International Conference Center (ICC) Abuja.

He said the unwise decision by Wike on their kinsman was a pure show of ethnic profiling against the group that supported well the emergence of Tinubu as the sitting President of Nigeria.

“Our recent concern is the onslaught of the FCT Minister’s unilateral, unconstitutional impunity with which he pronounced a revocation of the management contract of our patron Sen. Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi who is also the convener of Arewa New Agenda (ANA).

“This profiling is contrary to promise made by Mr President on the campaign trail where he assured the FULBE of fair hearing and promotion of the welfare of the FULBE alongside other Nigerians

“The targeting of our Patron, Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi by the Minister is a slap on our face, and we are very concerned that the action of the Minister is putting a wedge in the support we give to you Mr Presidentnt

“The Minister did not follow due process and, a subsisting contract was illegally revoked by a newspaper publication; this injustice, impunity, and character assassination against our patron is something that cannot be accepted in a democratic society.” He said

He continued to say that Wike is unnecessarily causing great havoc to this administration because he had little or not knowledge at all who is Senator Moallayidi and the huge contributions he made to support the winning election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He Said;” Where was Wike when our patron Sen Ahmad MoAllahyidi mobilized the Ardos and hosted the then presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu accompanied by the Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, the NSA, Mal Nuhu Ribadu, the APC Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Deputy Senate President, Sen Jibril Barau, minister of Defence Abubakarar Badaru, the NAHCON Chairman, Barr. Jalal Arabi, the SA to the VP, Aliyu Umar Modibo, among other prominent leaders of the current administration at the same International Conference Center ICC to make a pact with the Fulbe leading to the resounding success at the polls.

“We all know that Minister Wike was then and still is in the opposition party, proudly a card-carrying member of PDP, and what is doing is more of fighting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

He urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene by calling Minister Wike to order and demanded that Wike be compelled at all times to follow due process in whatever is doing.

Aliyu who spoke on behalf of the Ardos further demanded that the FCT Minister desist from profiling the Fulbe group or any group of people or individuals, especially those who have worked to bring the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be.

In their demands also they asked Tinubu to intervene by stopping Minister Wike from shutting down the ICC and tempering with the lawful contract agreement the IFMSL has which has a ten-year life span.

“We remind the President to fulfill the promises he made to the Fulbe regarding the setting of a livestock agency to cater for the migrant cattle rearers, to make the name of the Fulani a very respectable name and provide social welfare for them alongside other Nigerians.

“We are concerned that such an onslaught on our leaders is a direct repudiation of the effort that we contributed to bringing your administration to power. We kindly urge you to use your good office to call Minister Wike to order or remove him from the office he occupies to avoid the negative impact he is creating for your administration.

“We look forward to your very positive intervention as we continue to pledge our support and loyalty for the continuing success of the Barkindo of Fulbe Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as you lead this great country of a good people.” He demanded

Ardo Aliyu,, however, said that the entire Ardos of the Fulbe United for Peace and Development commend the effort of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose administration is providing good leadership for the country. And appreciated him for the giant strides he is making in leading the country and will continue to support him for the good is doing if their demands are met.

  • MD, Federal Housing Authority, Hon Ojo Backs Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda As He Visits Rivers Governor, Fubara

MD, Federal Housing Authority, Hon Ojo Backs Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda As He Visits Rivers Governor, Fubara

The Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, says Rivers State will fully support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR).

He disclosed this on Wednesday, 10th April, 2024 when the Managing Director and Chief Executive of Federal Housing Authority, Hon. Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo paid him a visit in continuation of the agency’s consultation with State Governors towards the Renewed Hope Agenda programme of President Tinubu.

Hon. Ojo, in his address to the governor, commended him for the great sense of focus he has displayed in governance within the short period he assumed office.

The FHA Chief Executive listed out the Governor’s infrastructural development, timely payment of pensioners, and enhanced security in the state, among other things, as the areas he has made instant marks in the state.

The MD informed Governor Fubara that the main reason for the visit was to bring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda message on Housing to Rivers State, which is all about providing affordable houses to Nigerians, pointed out that the state is the thirteenth he is visiting with his team in under one month.

Hon. Ojo reiterated Mr. President’s determination not only to tackle the nation’s housing deficit, but giving Nigerians affordable and livable houses. According to him, “We bring you Mr President’s mandate of Renewed Hope, which is affordable housing. Right now, in Nigeria, we lack adequate shelter, which is why the President has chosen us to help tackle the issue.”

The FHA boss pointed out the strategic importance of Rivers State with its peculiar terrain to the economic life of the country and noted the need for affordable houses in the state for the good of the citizens.

The MD therefore told His Excellency, Governor Fubara, that the Authority has come to ask for land from Rivers State for the purpose of delivering the Renewed Hope Housing project.

Hon. Ojo explained to the Governor the new developmental inclusiveness policy of the FHA, where the Authority consults with the State Governments for inputs in designs before any project is sited. He said that the Authority would does not wish to stay in Abuja and design what they like for the people of Rivers.

In his words, the MD told the governor, “One of the reasons why we are here today is to solicit for land. We do not want you to just give us land. We want, like I said, to sit with your management team to come up with the right designs that will be tailored towards what the Rivers people need”.

Hon. Ojo also informed the Governor of the Authority’s Diaspora City initiative, where a certain percentage of the land given for projects would be dedicated to building for our diasporians and other privileged Nigerians. This, he said, would benefit our people in diaspora, some of whom have fallen into the hands of fraudsters in their quest to have befitting accommodation back home.

FHA, the MD told Mr Governor, is in advanced discussion with the Nigerians In Diaspora Commission and the Federal Ministry of Tourism towards this. He noted that with the Authority’s digitization, the Diasporians would have seamless transaction with FHA from the comfort of their respective locations and also be able to monitor and track their investments.

Hon. Ojo also told Governor Fubara that FHA wants to capitalise on the value chain of construction to help fight inflation in the country. He noted that by the time these sporadic massive constructions would start across the country, numerous direct and indirect jobs would be created.

The Managing Director equally informed the Governor that most of the contracts would be given to contactors from Rivers State. This, he said, apart from helping boost the state’s economy, would create a sense of ownership of the project, and the people would also know those to hold accountable.

The MD also emphasized the apolitical stand of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on this project. Mr. President, he noted, sees this as a critical Nigerian project devoid of political colouration. He noted further that the FHA team has visited 13 states that are APC, PDP, NNPP, and Labour Party controlled, pointing to the non-partisan nature of the Renewed Hope Agenda programme.

On the designs and models of delivery, Hon. Ojo told the governor that the Authority remains resolute in the decision to consider Nigerians in the lower rung of the economy by building Studio, One Bedroom apartments, and carcass. He maintained that expensive finishing would not be imposed on Nigerians. FHA would do a prototype exterior, plumbing, and electricals, while respective allottees would do the finishing according to their individual tastes and resources.

Finally, the MD informed His Excellency that the Authority has ready off – takers for the project and would also like the collaboration of the State in profiling off-takers . “We will make you proud. We will come back to sit with you once you give us land. We will call you for the ground breaking, and President Tinubu will surely be your guest”. The MD concluded.

The governor, in his response, thanked the FHA team for coming to the state to discuss such an important issue of nation building. He thanked the President for the Renewed Hope initiative and expressed great concern over the issue of housing challenges in the country. In the Governor’s words, “I am really happy this evening not minding the timing, to discuss such an important issue of nation building”.

Governor Fubara noted that the issue of housing is becoming more challenging in the country due to high cost of living, and as such, all levels of government need to come down to tackle. “In our country today, because of the high cost of living, housing has become an issue, the medium income earner can not even afford them. All levels of government need to come down to tackle it.” He opined.

The Governor noted that his government is thinking along the same line with Mr President. He said that they are thinking of making provision for all segments of the populace, including the civil servants, traders, taxi drivers etc. He said that “…receiving a delegation from FHA is cheering to us. I want to assure you that we will be part of this project.” He noted.

The Governor expressed happiness for the proactive and business oriented disposition of the Authority’s presentation, and reaffirmed his Government’s commitment to work with FHA. In his words, “your demands are very simple. We are dealing with a team that is very serious to develop. They want the contractors to come from us. They want to partner us for off- takers. I want to assure you that we will work with you.”

Governor Fubara was also pleased with the Authority’s proposal to sit with the state for input in designs. He said it shows the seriousness FHA’s Management, that has great interest in its end product meeting the desires of those it is building for.

Finally, the Governor said, “I assure you of all the support you would need. Our message to the President is that we will support the project to be a successful legacy of his administration. ” He concluded.

  • Ogbeni Lanre Banjo: Celebrating A Patriotic Nigerian, Advocate of Good Governance at 66

Ogbeni Lanre Banjo: Celebrating A Patriotic Nigerian, Advocate of Good Governance at 66

     By Kosamatu Raji

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy, says Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Ogbeni Lanre Banjo practicalises this on various issues that affect the masses in Nigeria regardless of the cost to him.

Lanre Banjo adopted the use of the appellation “Ogbeni” from a letter the late sage and Premier of the old Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo used in the salutation of a personal letter he sent to him shortly before his demise.

He considered it to be unique, especially from the sage who upon his death, was described as the best President Nigeria never had, by the late Biafra warlord, Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. It is on record that 27 years after his demise, Awolowo’s performance in terms of taking care of the masses has not been beaten.

Before his foray into the politics of Nigeria, Ogbeni Lanre Banjo, had worked in various positions in the United States of America where he served as Director of Policy and Procedures for the District of Columbia Government and as the Treasurer to the Mayor of Washington DC, the Honorable Marion Barry, Council member Sandy Allen and House of Representative, Honorable Charles Moreland. He served passionately in different offices without any blemish and to date he remains an incorruptible Nigerian.

    IMG_ORG_1709177465366

Ogbeni Lanre Banjo is a democrat and a firm believer in the rule of law and a society free from corruption, dictatorship and bad governance. He fought tirelessly in conjunction with other like minds to end military dictatorship in Nigeria.

After the annulment of June 12, 1993, presidential election, Ogbeni Lanre Banjo joined forces with late elder statesman, Pa Anthony Enahoro and other pro-democracy activists and leaders of Civil Society Groups for the actualisation of the mandate of the acclaimed winner of the June 12 presidential election, Chief M.K.O. Abiola (now late) and the restoration of democracy.

The Nigerian Embassy on 16th Street Northwest Washington, DC was forcefully taken over in protest of the annulment of the June 12 elections under the chairmanship of Ogbeni Banjo with Ambassador Kazaure held hostage by the leaders of the organisation led by Shola Ogunbode, Kunle Badmus, Akib Abiola and Segun Ajibulu, among others, who were arrested by the United States Secret Services.

Those arrested in that protest were represented pro bono by Ogbeni Banjo’s friend, Attorney Shola Ayeni.  The struggle pitched him and those in the fight to make personal sacrifices and in some instances at the risk of their lives. He was upright throughout the struggle without corrupting himself with the ‘king’s meal.’  When the military indicated plans to hand over to civil rule, Ogbeni Lanre Banjo, joined the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi-led National Conscience Party (NCP) as a foundation member and was very close to the late fierce human rights lawyer until he died. Based on his passion to change the political narrative in his State and Nigeria by extension, Ogbeni Lanre Banjo contested the 2003, 2007 and 2011 governorship elections in Ogun State on the ticket of the National Conscience Party (NCP).

Although he lost the elections, his participation had enriched governance in the State. During the campaigns, he sensitised the electorates about what good governance is and the benefits that could be gains of democracy.

He spoke eloquently about the brilliant programmes he planned to bring on board to governance with the experience he had garnered in the country revered as a bastion of democracy.Ogbeni is an advocate of electoral reforms that will provide an open and equal-level playing field for contestants.

He believes that for open and true democratic principles to be seen as being done, political parties should have a database of all their registered members who must be made to vote in direct primary elections to elect candidates to fly the flags of political parties in elections.

The process he believes will prevent crises in the political parties which often lead to dissatisfaction when some candidates who lose at indirect primaries feel aggrieved and leave a party.Ogbeni Lanre Banjo was chosen by his revered friend, former Governor Ibikunle Amosun as the first appointed Ogun State Representative on the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria (DAWN) Commission and as Ogun State member on the Board of Glanvill Enthoven Insurance Brokers Ltd., a subsidiary of Odu’a Investment Company.

He later became the Chairman of the Company and contributed significantly towards the efficient running of the Insurance brokerage and left the firm better than he met it.Ogbeni is an astute politician who has zero tolerance for corruption. He stands firmly against waste and financial recklessness.

His love for Nigeria is undying and he contributes by way of interviews through television, newspapers, magazines and online platforms for the good of the country. He is friendly, sociable and jovial.

He respects both the old and the young. Ogbeni is a good dresser who knows how to combine colours. He is a man of style with a unique round cap, which has automatically become his identity any time he steps out. One striking character trait of Ogbeni is his humility.

He is not proud and I respect him so much for that. He is also a generous and compassionate man, who is loving and caring. He believes strongly in contributing to the growth and development of others and today a lot of people have benefited directly or indirectly from his generosity and empathy.

As Ogbeni Lanre Banjo celebrates his 66th birthday today, March 1, 2024, he deserves to be recognised and appreciated for the contributions he has made to the birth of the democracy we are enjoying today through his association with the late Pa Enahoro and others in the struggle for a return to civil rule and his contribution to the politics of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

Let me end by wishing Ogbeni Lanre Banjo a happy birthday and a long life to continue to give of his best to our country, Nigeria. I am confident that one day his contributions will be duly recognised and rewarded.

His efforts and faith in Nigeria will not be in vain. May you live to be a hundred, Ogbeni Lanre Banjo.Alhaji Kosamatu Raji writes from Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory.

Opinion: Loyalty Indeed; by Thomas A. Akintoye

It is over a whole year that the National election which ushered in President ‘Bola Ahmed Tinubu was held. As is the usual and expected practice before such a big election, numerous groups showed their unalloyed support for their candidate. Banners, Bill boards as well as designated offices dotted the whole city!

Indisputably, PBAT enjoyed unprecedented support in huge numbers. However, barely twelve months later, a cursory look throughout the landscape of the metropolitan city of Ibadan: the capital of Western Region, Western State and Old Oyo State, notorious for “operation wet e” in the 60’s and rascality cum vandalism seen in 1983, shows that almost all the support group offices had been closed down. Except for two.

These are the two big offices occupied by Sen. Rilwan Akanbi and utilized as the 2023 campaign outlets for PBAT election. The offices are still standing with very visible billboards and banners of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The first of these offices is located at Ringroad, a popular and densely populated area of Ibadan South West Local Government. The second one is in the hugely populated interior of the city namely ‘Nalende, in Ibadan North West LG.

Noteworthy is the fact that The multiple campaign buses branded and used for the electioneering campaign by Sen Rilwan Akanbi are still visible till date.

It can be said that for anyone to keep such offices running and campaign vehicles functioning, he must be popular and well loved in his community. Suffice to say that most had closed down their offices for obvious reasons which includes lack of funding as well as fear of repraisal attacks like when the Petroleum products subsidy was removed and the hyper-inflation biting very hard!

Loyalty as the topic which is rear in politics, On his part, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi, the Okanlomo of Ibadanland, remains the astute progressive he has always been. Well known for his philanthropic endeavours, he will continue to be a worthy voice of the people while proudly raising the flag of the Party very high.
