The Abeokuta North Medical Community Development Service (CDS) group of Ogun State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has organized a community outreach program in partnership with the Ogun State Emergency Medical Ambulance Services under the director, Dr Hassan Adelakun.
The medical CDS team led by Dr. Opeoluwa Oladipo organised the programme under the leadership of the Local Government Inspector, Mrs Pedro Mercy the programme aimed at expanding awareness of emergency healthcare services among members of the community.
The first outreach held on Tuesday 24th February, 2026, commenced at Enugada and extended into the interior areas of Lafenwa Market, up to Rounda, where community members and market participants were sensitized on the ongoing emergency ambulance services provided by the Ogun State Government through the Ogun State Ambulance and Emergency Medical Services.
During the exercise, the team educated the public on the availability, accessibility, and importance of the emergency ambulance services, as well as how to contact the service in times of emergency. The outreach successfully impacted members of the community and helped spread awareness of the state’s emergency medical response system.
