beokuta North Local Government National Youth Service Corps Medical Development Service Group has prepared to have a strong influence on Community Emergency Response.
Dr. Oladipo Opeoluwa Joseph, the Team Leader and President of Medical CDS, ANLG, with the support of the Local Government Inspector, Mrs Mercy Pedro, made it known to the caveattimesonline newspaper organization today Thursday, 19th of February 2026, that they aimed to actively strengthen local emergency response systems in Abeokuta North Local Government.
The Medical Team announced that:
”The members of the NYSC Medical CDS group in Abeokuta-North LGA, Ogun State, seek to impact the community through a development project focused on strengthening the existing Emergency Response Unit system (established by the Ogun State Ambulance and Emergency Services) in our local government” the Team x-rayed.
Further said, the Medical Community Development Service will carry out outreaches at:
LAFENWA MARKET ON TUESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY, 2026. TIME: 9AM
&
ITA-OSHIN ROUNDABOUT ON FRIDAY 27TH FEBRUARY, 2026. TIME: 9AM
The medical CDS Project is centred on:
Strengthening community knowledge on emergency numbers, first response steps, and ambulance accessibility which is coordinated by the Ogun State Ambulance and Emergency Services.
2. Intensive community sensitization campaigns across wards
3. Publicity outreach through various communication channels
4. Installation of emergency awareness billboards in strategic locations in Abeokuta-North.
5. Construction of needed structures such as ambulance sheds or other needed structures at the ambulance locations in Abeokuta-North in collaboration with Ogun State Ambulance and Emergency Service.
6. All the above activities are for the purpose of reducing the number of preventable deaths in the Local Government.
NYSC Medical Team in the Local Government however beseeching the who-is-who/big wigs in the society, most especially the Local Government to support the initiatives and to join the upcoming outreach.
