Engr. Shokunle Owolabi Afeez popularly known as NIYAS, an aspirant under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for Abeokuta North state Constituency today observed the Eid-el-Kabir prayer with thousands of Muslim faithful at Idiya yidi, Abeokuta, the state capital.
The Muslim faithful were impressed seeing Niyas observing the two raka’ats prayer to commemorate this year Eid-el-Fitri Celebration
Speaking to people shortly after the prayer, he said it is by Allah’s grace that everyone witnessed today’s celebration.
He said “I greet our people on this day and I as well urged all of us to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice in our daily lives, we shouldn’t not forget what lesson we learned during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Let us imbibe the lesson in the submission to the will of Allah, NIYAS said.”
