Local Government Lawmaker, Hon. Adekunle Urges Residents To Celebrate Eid-El-Fitr With Kindness, Love, Togetherness

The Lawmaker at Obafemi-Owode Local Government in Ogun State  representing Owode Egba Ward 3, Honourable Adekunle Ajayi Abdul-Lateef  popularly known as “Laati Iyana” has urged the residents to celebrate Eid-El-Fitr with kindness, love and togetherness while extending warm felicitation to Muslims across the Local Government on the joyous occasion of Eid-El-Fitr marking the successful completion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

While expounding the reason for the celebration of Eid-El-Fitr to the Publisher of caveattimes online Newspaper, Mr Kola Sodeinde He explained that today is the first of the two main festival in Islam, the other being Eid al-Adha which falls on the first day of Shawal, Tenth Month of the Islamic Calendar made it known that the purpose of the celebration is Islamically focused on gratitude and worshipping, spiritual renewal, giving to charity (Zakat al-Fitr): A special, mandatory charity is given before the Eid prayer to ensure the poor can celebrate, emphasizing compassion and community care, strengthen community ties, celebrating obedience, following the Sunnah and the likes.

Stated further that the above character are thoroughly important to sustaining the virtues learned during Ramadan, such as sacrifice and compassion, beyond the Holy Month to foster more peaceful and united society.

‎”Eid-el-Fitr is a noticeable length of time  that anew the virtues of sacrifice, self-discipline, compassion, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah, please, I want to urge you my people to in continuation, demonstrate the spiritual lessons of the Holy Month.

“once again, I beg you, don’t let it end with fasting but let the virtues of the concluded Ramadan of this Year reflects in your  daily conduct, relationships, and service to humanity,” Honourable Adekunle implored residents.

‎Honourable Adekunle Ajayi Abdul-Lateef popularly known as Laati Iyana remarkably reminded the residents to use the time to pray for the Local Government and beyond; most especially of the time of political struggle that Allah should choose His own that will paddle the seat of power of the Local Government and beyond.

‎The Council Lawmaker in the Local Government however emphasized the importance of unity, peaceful coexistence, and mutual respect among dwellers regardless of religious or ethnic differences. He again appealed to residents of Obafemi-Owode Local Government to use the occasion to strengthen communal bonds and promote harmony within their communities.
